Jerry J. Herschfeld, DDS
I take being a dental professional very seriously and believe in having an honest and straight-forward approach when it comes to the health and well being of my patients. It is my goal as a dentist to help my patients by educating them about their dental health concerns and then by providing options when it comes to their oral health care. I become invested in each and every patient and recognize that through commitment to the dental health of our patients, we aid in the prevention of other health conditions such as cancer, diabetes and heart disease. Early diagnosis of potential health conditions can prove to be life saving. My wonderful staff and I care about each patient as an individual and strive to help our patients maintain healthy standards of dental health which will, in the long run, benefit their overall health.
Education and Continuing Education
Bachelor of Arts degree — State University of New York at Buffalo, 1969
Doctorate of Dental Surgery — Howard University School of Dentistry, 1973
Over the past 37 years, I have acquired more than 1500 hours of continuing education. My involvement with various professional organizations has given me a comprehensive background in all aspects of cosmetic and restorative dentistry. Continuing my education is an extremely important aspect of my job, and I take the opportunity to improve the care I provide by continually learning, researching, and implementing the latest techniques and treatment options. I have experienced a wide variety of advancements in the dental field and find cosmetic dentistry and implant based dentistry to be particularly exciting and challenging. I take great pride in changing smiles that had been stifled into smiles communicating a newly gained level of confidence.

Outside the Office
I am most proud of having the honor of being a United Way Humanitarian Award recipient as a result of working with special needs individuals in my community. I am also a volunteer dentist at the Healthlink Medical and Dental Free Clinic in Southampton, Pa, since 2007 serving those who are unable to afford even routine dental care. I am originally from New York City and relocated to Montgomery County more than 20 years ago. My wife, Sherri, and I have enjoyed raising our family in this lovely area. When I’m not in the office or spending time with our family, I can be found painting, sculpting, enjoying photography, playing the piano and guitar, and trying to improve my golf game.
